Dr. LaTonya D. Hughes is an innovative health care leader with experience inspecting health care organizations across the United States. She holds a PhD in Health Services Leadership and a Master of Science degree in Nursing Administration.
A registered nurse for over 31 years, Hughes has held positions as Accreditation Surveyor, Administrator, Director of Nursing, Staff Development and Quality Management Instructor, Risk Manager, and Chief Nurse.
A Licensed Nursing Home Administrator for 22 years, Hughes has also served as an adjunct faculty instructor for several nursing schools to include historical universities. Hughes is known for research in person-centered care and wound care (archived within the Library of Congress in Washington, DC).
